Intimate Elopement at Loch Coruisk, Isle of Skye

Deep inside the Cuillin Mountains on the Isle of Skye, at a place only accessible by boat or a long hike, is a secluded loch. Surrounded by the towering Cuillin Mountains, this beautifully still loch became witness to the secret elopement of Laura and Marcus.

There’s something incredibly romantic about running away to elope at a place you’ve never visited – excitement and adventure roll into one, with an air of mystery about what will greet you.

They got ready together at a cosy cabin overlooking the Sound of Rassay and the Torridon Mountains in the distance. From there, we took a 30 minute drive to the small fishing town of Elgol, where our boat set sail for Loch Coruisk.

A colony of 250 seals greeted us at the shore, where it was only a 10 minute walk to our ceremony location. They opted for a traditional hand-fasting ceremony, conducted by Rona, bringing old and new into one.

After their ceremony, we explored the shores of the loch, taking in the views of the Cuillin Mountains as they towered above us.

If you’re looking for a quiet and intimate spot for your Isle of Skye elopement, Loch Coruisk could be the place. Get in touch if you’d like to chat or need any advice on how you could elope here.
